| Visitors will spend some time in the Lake District undoubtedly taking in some of the sights on the Cumbria Way, perhaps scaling the Old Man of Coniston or Dow Crag, and there is of course all the activities associated with the lakes themselves. All these Lake District attractions are complemented perfectly by the ambience, accommodation, food and drink of a classic country inn and while The Wilsons Arms is certainly one of the best in this regard it has the added benefit of a location which puts all the other activities within easy reach. |
| Situated in the beautiful Duddon Valley, in the shadow of the Old Man of Coniston itself, The Wilsons Arms makes a great country retreat, just right for all the outdoor pleasures whether for the casual walker or hardened fell runner, and even better for relaxing afterwards with great food and a tipple by the real log fire. Retiring to bed is pretty pleasurable too courtesy of the individually designed rooms and suites, 7 in total with single, twin, double and family rooms all available and all with en suite or private facilities, and with Freeview TV, tea and coffee. |

Those arriving at Oxenholme station, with or without bikes, can be picked up from the station.
